“I can’t say enough about what Ken has done for our business in helping us drive clarity into the organization and really pursue vision, traction, and company health. He has been a great asset to our management team and our company. He has helped us work through a lot of different things we needed to deal with to get a grip on our business, and to grow it, and to move it forward into the next ten years.”
– James Benham, CEO – JBKnowledge
“In 2013, we came to the decision that we were hitting a ceiling with our business. We loved our work and were proud of what we were accomplishing for our clients, but felt that there was something missing. In a quest to break through to the next level, we read business books and interviewed consultants both inside and outside of our industry.
“We consider ourselves fortunate to have found and hired Ken to implement EOS. With his guidance, we have:
- Provided a clearer vision to all of our employees on BCR’s passion to help people succeed and where we expect it to take us
- Created traction through better organized meetings and a differentiation on when people are working on the business versus working in the business
- Developed a healthy atmosphere with the right people in the right seats, who aren’t afraid to be open and honest for the benefit of the company, themselves, and their fellow team members.
“Our passion to help people succeed has driven us to sing praises for this system to anyone who we think EOS can help. We give away copies of Traction with our testimonial tucked into the front page because we believe so strongly in the impact it has made on our company.”
– Marshall Rathmell, Managing Member – BCR Wealth Strategies
“A simple ‘thank you’ could never be enough describe my appreciation for what Ken did for me personally and for our team. He gave us the tools to pivot our bank; we’ve had the best year in our history in relation to achieving desired results. Our organization feels healthier than it has been in 12 years under my leadership.
“If you think your business model is stale or you’re struggling with hitting your head on the ceiling, I strongly encourage you to consider having Ken Dewitt teach you EOS.”
– Troy Martin, CEO – American City Bank
“After being in business with my two partners for 12 years, we were almost never on the same page about any of our issues. Since we were managing by consensus, we never did anything unless we were all in 100% agreement. Needless to say, there were a lot of decisions that were never made. This meant that the business wasn’t growing, but our frustration with running it was increasing by the day.
“After our first session with Ken, my partners and I felt like we’d had an epiphany. We immediately began to get on the same page. We still didn’t agree on everything, but we began to speak the same EOS language, and we felt like a team. We did agree on what we’d been doing wrong and that EOS was the way out of it. We were EXCITED about our business again!
“Ken’s fee “paid for itself” the day he helped us make a decision we’d had on hold for a decade. When we started AGJ, a large portion of our business was web design; however, the web department was causing a lot of problems and hadn’t turned a profit in over five years, but we were still holding onto it because we thought we all had to agree on when to let it go. Ken tapped into his financial background to present the facts in a way that made eliminating that line of business a no-brainer. Even though we didn’t agree 100%, we closed the department, and we have been much happier ever since.
“Personnel issues are another area where we’d been in denial. Once we identified our core values and analyzed our employees according to them, we realized that about 30% of the people working for us were wrong for the company. That explained why many of the people we hired for their extraordinary technical abilities were causing nothing but problems.
“Following EOS has created a work environment where our good employees do even better, and many of the ones who don’t share our core values are leaving voluntarily, as Ken predicted they would. We’re in the process of “cleaning up” our workforce and are poised for growth.
“I’m glad we implemented EOS when we did. A couple of years earlier, we wouldn’t have thought we needed it. But if we had waited a few years more, I think we would have been frustrated enough to be beyond hope. EOS isn’t always easy, but it is simple, and it is going to be the key to a great future for us.”
-Ryan Giles, AGJ Systems & Networks
“After 50 years in business, we had an entirely new leadership team, and I went in search of a management training program or a team building regimen that would increase our chances of success together.
“We began to see results from implementing EOS immediately, and the difference was dramatic.
“The first thing that changed was the way we communicate. EOS has eliminated a lot of the drama that used to characterize many of our interactions with one another. No one is competing to get their own way; we are all working together for the same goal, and that is the foundation now of everything we do.
“I think of Ken as sort of a physical trainer for business. You hire a physical trainer to teach you how to use specific exercises and combine them with a proper diet and supplements to achieve a defined result. And in theory, you can teach yourself all the things a physical trainer would by using books and videos. But there’s nothing like having someone to hold you accountable for every workout and what you do between your sessions with him. That’s what Ken does for us, and it is delivering results.”
-Charlie Regan, Jr., Gorrie-Regan
“We were doing alright from an operational standpoint – we were hitting goals – but we weren’t growing. We were stagnant, and I felt it was due to poor communication and our team not being on the same page about who we were or where we were going. I was looking for someone to help us with team building when an article in Ken’s newsletter prompted me to give him a call, and he told me about EOS.
“When we implemented the 5 foundational tools, I noticed an almost immediate improvement in the level and quality of communication between our team members. The process of identifying our core values and building a vision together helped us all get on the same page. We have a roadmap of where we’re going and we’re all working to reach the same destination.
“As a result, our main product line has grown by over 20% this year. I attribute that growth to narrowing our core focus; to knowing who we are and what we’re about.
“I began by implementing EOS in one company and have now rolled it out in three more, one of which is brand new. EOS has been the perfect foundation and has helped manage all the chaos associated with a start-up.
“Ken doesn’t leave any issue on the table. He is not afraid to dig in to get to the root of a problem and help you come up with concrete solutions. And he doesn’t just talk to you out of a book. His 30+ years of experience really gives him a wealth of understanding to draw on because he has seen these situations before. He is ready and willing to roll up his sleeves and help you do what it takes to get the result you are looking for.”
“I was hired to take a struggling start-up company and either turn it around or face failure. Start-ups are notorious for being fragmented and disorganized, and are usually plagued by friction because people just can’t see everything the same way. It’s very rare to have team unity in a start-up, but that’s exactly what EOS has delivered for us. Our leadership team had already begun implementing EOS when I arrived, and it eliminated many of the issues typical of start-ups.
“We had to make some very tough decisions in the beginning. We even had to let some key people go, but those decisions were much easier to make and carry out because the EOS tools made what had to be done obvious to everyone on the team. I didn’t have to come in and say, “Trust me on the way we’re going to run this company,” fire people, and be concerned that others didn’t truly understand my decisions. Everyone knew what needed to be done and why, and they were on board with it. I was able to move quickly without feeling alone because the team was with me.
“I have been here eight months, and in that time we have increased our subscriber base by 282%, which translates to a revenue increase of 278%. I probably could have gotten some of that revenue growth just coming in and doing what I do, but it’s very unique for me to come into a start-up this young and with this many issues, but is smart enough to have a system like EOS and a coach like Ken. If EOS hadn’t been in place, I wouldn’t have been able to increase revenues this quickly and the growth wouldn’t have been sustainable. Instead of me having to drive everything myself, I’ve been able enjoy a team that is fully aligned and is therefore able to produce results much more quickly.
“Ken is a fantastic mediator and coach. Every time we meet, I go back to the office better positioned in my role because of him. It’s not just an esoterical feeling that we had a good meeting. I’ve been through training programs where you think you had a good meeting, but when you get back to the office, you realize you don’t really know what to do with what you learned, so you drift for a while, then you have to re-engage later on, and it really slows progress. That doesn’t happen with Ken. He uses EOS to make things concrete so everyone leaves with a clear plan they can adhere to.
“I took a huge risk in coming here, and I don’t think I would have been comfortable enough to take that risk if EOS hadn’t been in place. Without EOS, it might have been a different decision for me. But I’m here, and while we’ve made it through some difficult times, we’ve emerged successful and more focused than ever on hitting our goals.”
– Mel Blackwell, Healther Partners America
“Ken’s skill at simplifying difficult processes has been huge for me. I love maps, and when you look at a map, the first thing you need to do is determine where you are, then where you need to go. Before EOS, we had no idea where we were going. Ken helped me understand the map and helped us define the route that would get us where we wanted to be.
“We used to spend our meetings arguing and not getting anything accomplished. Understanding our core values has been revolutionary. We always had core values, but we never defined them before, and having them defined has helped us make decisions much more quickly and feel more confident in them. Our weekly meetings are more structured and efficient now; we get things done. It’s no longer a dreaded meeting, it’s more of a joy. It’s like having a mini family reunion every week.
“The bottom line is that I am here to sell furniture, and EOS has shown me how to make sure everyone else in the company is here to sell furniture. Everyone here is united for a common purpose.”

“The business was running fine, but I was doing too much of the managing. All my leaders were doing the job of the person one level below them – the Sales Manager was doing the job of a salesman, etc. – and I wanted them to take ownership of the things they should be responsible for. I wanted to get some systems in place to help me build in accountability and bring everyone up to the level where they should be.
“I was in a management training course with a fellow who was implementing EOS in his company using the book, TRACTION. I read the book, thought EOS was a good system, and I reached out for an implementer.
“Ken knows EOS very well and does a great job at pulling out all the issues and helping you solve them. My team got behind the process from the beginning. It opened their eyes and helped them truly realize what they should be accountable for. My people now know exactly what they should be doing and have taken ownership of it.”
-Jacob Giardina, Honiron Corporation
“We had been working a good strategic plan that resulted in rapid growth of more than 70% per year for three years when Ken, who was our interim CFO at the time, brought me and my partner a copy of Traction and said, ‘Read this and tell me what you think.’ In spite of a strong historic growth trend, we were performing well below the industry benchmarks for net margin. We needed Ken’s help to make a cultural shift from a company that valued premium service levels at any expense to a business that sustained premium service levels, but did so efficiently. Additionally, we had significant growing pains to work through as a company.
“We didn’t talk about it again for a couple of months, but once my partner and I had read the book and let it sink in, we were sold, but not just because of EOS. It was also because we trusted Ken’s advice and insight. You only have to spend a few minutes with Ken to know that he truly knows what he’s talking about.
“Since we’ve implemented EOS, we have confidence that we are in a position to trend toward industry benchmarks for net margin and sustain growth long term. Our leaders came together as a team to decide who we are, what we can handle, and where we are going. There is clarity in our vision and unity in our commitment to achieving it. We have all embraced the EOS model – the six key components – and that’s where we keep our focus.
“Ken has been a key component in the success we are seeing through the EOS model. Ken has been doing this for over 30 years, but he still keeps pushing the envelope. He continually challenges himself to grow professionally and personally, and he does the same for us as his client. He is a game changer and I strongly recommend him as a business coach and EOS implementer.”
